George was a private in Captain Hughes Company of Colonel White’s 1st Regiment of Continental Dragoons, enlisting in the fall of 1781 at Williamsburg, Virginia. He came to White River Township, Gibson County, Indiana, from Muhlenberg County, Kentucky, about 1807. He moved to Illinois about 1837. Frances Garrard was the niece of the governor of Kentucky. Mary Rose married the second time in 1843 in Illinois, Pelic Hull, who died in 1850. In 1853, Mary was granted a pension of $100 per month from George’s Revolutionary War service. She later lived in St. Louis, Missouri, and Farmersville, Tulare County, California.

James lived in Montgomery, Gibson, and Pike counties in Indiana before moving on to Winfield, Cowley County, Kansas, in 1910. Sometime between then and 1913, James studied to be a chiropractor in Davenport, Iowa. In May 1913, he opened an office in Cawker City, Kansas. In 1915, he opened an office in Abilene, Kansas, and practiced there for several years, possibly as late as 1933.

Thomas adopted Harriett’s son, Richard Thomas Lewis, who was born about 1920 in Illinois.

Thomas emigrated from Wales to Indiana in 1888. His wife Margaret followed in 1890, with their daughter Mary. They lived in Clinton Township, Vermillion County, Indiana, and later moved to Patoka Township, Gibson County, Indiana, before leaving Indiana and settling in Sandoval Township, Marion County, Illinois. According to his niece, Gladys Elaine Devonald, he was a very quiet man who loved his family very much. He was a coal mines in Merthyr Tydfil, Wales, and continued in that line of work in both Indiana and Illinois.
