John came to Monroe County, Indiana, from Rockville, Jefferson County, Ohio, in 1869 with his parents and siblings. He left from Parke County, Indiana, to Mitchelsville, Saline County, Illinois, in 1877. He was a doctor in Harrisburg, Illinois. John served in Company G, 13th Regiment of Ohio Cavalry during the Civil War; his papers list his name as Homer J. Lee.

James lived in Montgomery, Gibson, and Pike counties in Indiana before moving on to Winfield, Cowley County, Kansas, in 1910. Sometime between then and 1913, James studied to be a chiropractor in Davenport, Iowa. In May 1913, he opened an office in Cawker City, Kansas. In 1915, he opened an office in Abilene, Kansas, and practiced there for several years, possibly as late as 1933.

Isaac came to Knox County, Indiana, in 1837. He and his family left for Oregon from Oaktown, Knox County, on 21 March 1853 with a wagon and ox team. Several relatives also were part of this wagon train. This group became lost and wandered around for two weeks before coming to a place they had been before. They were “The Lost Wagon Train of 1853,” which rescuers were sent out to find.

Most of the land used for the Eugene Maholn Sweet Airport originally belonged to the Bonds. Isaac was a charter member of Pleasant Hill Grange and Irving Grange. He was Deacon of the Christian Church for many years. He served on the school board for twenty years, and he was a member of the board of supervisors for roads for three terms.

Children with Laura C. Parker:

William emigrated about 1851 from Warren County, Ohio, to Montgomery County, Indiana. He enlisted in Company A, 63rd Regiment, Indiana Volunteer Infantry, on 18 February 1862, at Linden, Indiana. He was accidentally shot by Jacob Dietz, a member of William’s company, while the regiment was forming in line of battle on the Manassas Gap Railroad just before the second Battle of Bull Run.
