Rhoda came to Indiana from Garrard County, Kentucky, a few years after her marriage there. She remained until 1860 and left from Monroe Township, Jefferson County, to Davis County, Iowa, where she died. Her body was later moved to Hebron Cemetery in Madison, Indiana, for reburial near her husband.

Anderson Ott served in Company K, 38th Regiment, Indiana Volunteers, 1862-63. His first wife was Sara Roberts (married 1857); they had two children, Mary and William. His second wife was Elizabeth Roberts (married 1865); they had no children. Mary Elizabeth Jacobs was his third wife. He took the family to Arkansas after 1874. In 1894 Anderson left Mary Elizabeth and his children, deserting them for nineteenyear- old Lizza Craig. When she had second thoughts about the relationship, Anderson killed Lizza, and then committed suicide. Eventually, Mary Elizabeth went to live with children in Oklahoma. She was able to obtain a widow’s pension for Anderson’s Civil War service.

Spring, Baker Township, Martin County, Indiana, in the 1870 census. By the 1880 census, John, his second wife Sarah, their son Dee, and John’s son William were in Montague County, Texas, where John operated a saloon in Spanish Fort, Texas. John, Sarah, and Dee left Nocona, Texas after 1900 for Manitou, Oklahoma, where John operated a café. John and Lucinda’s sons, George, William, and Noah all stayed in Daviess County, Indiana, near Elnora, Indiana.

They moved to Rush Springs, Grady County, Oklahoma, around 1909. In the 1920’s, most of the family, except Lillian and Mary who were married, moved near Los Angeles, Calfornia.

Sometime after 1880, Hester went to Texas with others to help care for their children. After her marriage, she lived in Nocona, Texas. In 1897, the family moved to Bailey, Indian Territory, Oklahoma. William drew land in the Kiowa-Comanche Indian Reservation near Rush Springs, Oklahoma. He paid $14.00 for the 160 acres. They lived there the rest of their lives.
