After the death of his first wife, Alfred remarried twice; one child was born to each of the subsequent marriages. According to his obituary, published in the Danville (IN) Republican on January 26, 1899, “Paul A. Viquesney” died Jan. 15th at Spencer. The Spencer Journal says:

“Paul A. Viquesney died Jan. 15th at Spencer. Concerning him the Spencer Journal says: He was born May 12, 1828, near Paris, France, where he lived until about three years old when his parents came to this country and settled in Philadelphia and afterwards moved to Washington, D. C., from there to Arbor Hill, Va., where he was married to Sarah E. Bell, December 29,1852. To this union were born six children. He moved some time in the year 1860 to Danville, Hendricks County, Ind., where he lost one child, Anna C. Sometime in the fall of ’65 he moved to Rockville, Parke County, Indiana, where he lost his wife and three children. There are only two living of this marriage, James A. and George E. He afterward married Marie Tenbrook who had one child, Bert. He came to Spencer in 1872 and Dec. 24, 1894, married Jane Lehman. To this union was born one child, Ernest M.; who is at Ft. Barancas, Fla. Mr. Viquesney was in his 70th year. He was a member of Hobahlodge, I. O. O. F. and the Royal Arcanum. His funeral took place Tuesday at 3 PM under their auspices.”
