Charles resided in Carroll County, Indiana; Delaware County, Indiana; and Jackson Township, Brown County, Indiana, in 1850. He emigrated from Indiana in 1855 to Bloomfield, Davis County, Iowa.

Charles and Catherine’s daughter, Mary Ann, was left a widow with eight children at age 33 when her husband, George Hendrickson, died of Civil War injuries. She raised the children and never remarried. She died at age 72 in 1917 at Berkeley, California.

Bessie Anna (Long) Schlottman worked as a laundress for her half-brother, Roy Anderson, at
the family-owned resort on Lake Mary.

Joseph lived in two Indiana counties, Carroll and Parke. He emigrated from Indiana in 1833 to Michigan, and moved by 1840 to the area that became Kendall County, Illinois, in 1841.

Joseph was a cooper while living at Oswego Township, Kendall County, Illinois. After her husband’s death, Azzuba returned to Indiana, where she is found in Parke County in the 1870 and 1880 censuses along with some of their children.

Rebecca Hanna, Elisha’s wife, married first William Nugent. They had a daughter, Rosanna.

Rachel moved to Otter Lake, Lapeer County, Michigan, in 1894. She later moved to Quincy, Adams County, Illinois, and then on to Rochester, Oakland County, Michigan.

She was a hotel manager when she met her second husband, and following his early death, she opened and operated bakeries in several different states.

Both marriages to Emma Stella Smith were later dissolved.

About 1907, Preston and Laura moved to a claim in Texas County in the Oklahoma panhandle. Following a few years in a dugout on the claim and as operator of a livery stable in Guymon, Preston decided to move to the Willamette Valley in Oregon.

Following Preston’s death in 1911, his widow shipped his body back to Rosedale, Parke County, Indiana, for burial. Her plans were to return to Indiana to live, but after living in Indiana for a short time, she moved back to Oregon to raise her children.

Preston enlisted on 13 May 1898 and served as a private in Company K, 2nd U.S. Infantry, during the Spanish American War. He fought in four battles of Santiago in 1898 and was honorably discharged at Anniston, Alabama, on 16 January 1899.
