Karl George was a banker and his wife was a kindergarten teacher. He is buried in Ridgelawn Cemetery in Huntington, West Virginia.

William Wood’s father emigrated from Ohio to Delaware County, Indiana, with his parents. After his parents died in 1875, the orphaned William lived with the Milton Routh family in Henry County, Indiana, and moved to Wilson County, Kansas, with them in 1880. In 1886,
William married the Routh’s daughter Emma Jane.

Edwin I. Dunham, a mechanic, was the first in his city to succumb to “La Grippe,” which developed into pneumonia. Dying at 37 years old, he left his wife with five young children, the oldest of whom was nine years old.

John and Mary E. Mullendore emigrated from Franklin, Johnson County, Indiana, to Howard, Elk County, Kansas, in 1882.

John’s sons, Erd and David Mullendore, took part in the third Oklahoma land rush. Erd became an oilman, banker, and rancher, owning the famous Cross-Bell Ranch. David returned to Elk County, Kansas, where he served two terms in the Kansas legislature and became president of Production Credit Corporation.

John’s other sons also became prominent businessmen. Otto established a bank and owned a department store in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Ray became a banker first in Osage and later at Hominy, Oklahoma, where his brother Carl also was a banker. William Clinton served in the Food Relief Administration during World War I and as secretary to then Secretary of Commerce Herbert Hoover. Later William Clinton, an attorney, became president and CEO of Southern California Edison Company.

exception of Flora and Norman. Eleazer and Ann Marie and his daughters Mary (Crouch) Trego and Susan (Crouch) Hutchinson settled in Hastings, Barry County, Michigan, while Eliza (Crouch) Hall went to Muskegon and Nellie resided in Three Rivers, Michigan.
