Taylor left Decatur County, Indiana, for Preble County, Ohio, in 1857 with his father after his mother’s death. Before moving to Kansas, he and his wife lived in Cincinnati, Hamilton County, and Fairhaven, Preble County, Ohio.

Lewis and Marie had no children. He was the 11th child of John and Mariah and died while on vacation in the west. He is buried in Ogan Cemetery in Wabash County, Indiana.

Lewis lived in Indiana until about 1927 when he transferred to Minneapolis, Minnesota, with the Honeywell Corp.

Abby was the eighth child of John and Mariah. She lived in Wabash County and Elkhart County, Indiana until about 1910 when her husband was transferred to Portland, Maine, by the Indiana Paper Mill for which he worked.

James enlisted in Company B, 7th Regiment, Indiana Volunteer Cavalry. He fought in 11 battles and was wounded at Egypt Station, Mississippi, on 28 December 1864. After he was discharged, he lived with his widowed mother for a few years, then in 1870 moved to Defiance County, Ohio. In 1885, he moved to Cherokee County, Iowa, and later that year, moved to Nemaha County, Kansas. After a fire destroyed their home, James, Nancy Ann, and Philip’s family all moved to Sheridan County, Kansas.
