George resided at Clay City, Terre Haute, and Indianapolis, Indiana, and immigrated in 1945 to Los Angeles, California.

The Reverand Dr. Snyder was an ordained minister in the United Brethren Church, which later became the Evangelical United Brethren. He served Indiana congregations from 1919 to 1945 and then transferred to the California Conference, where he served until his death.
