Orris’ great-grandfather, James Webb, came to Franklin County, Indiana, in 1814 from Virginia. Orris left Indiana about 1909 to pursue an apprenticeship as an electrician. He subsequently moved to: Havre, Montana; Great Falls, Montana; Bremerton, Washington; San Jose, California; Los Angeles, California; and Tulare, California. He was co-founder of Webb & Fleming Electric Co. in San Jose.

Lorinda’s great uncle, Aaron Stanton, pioneered in LaPorte County, Indiana, in the early 1800’s. She
moved from Warren, Huntington County, Indiana, to Ashtabula, Ohio, in 1910, but returned to Warren in 1911 after the death of her husband, Gillett. She later moved to San Joseph, Calfornia, in 1929.

Lorinda was a homemaker who also worked as a practical nurse. Her spouse was a blacksmith for 20 years in Warren, Indiana. Her second spouse was the widower of her sister Jeanett and a Jehovah’s Witness pioneer member since its inception as the Russelites.

Fern emigrated from Indiana after her marriage. She lived in Ohio; Illinois; Sweetwater, Texas; and San Jose, Capitola, and Santa Cruz, Calfornia. She was a housewife and homemaker. In San Jose, she worked for the WPA as a seamstress, making clothing for the Santa Clara County welfare program. She was an active member of the Jehovah’s Witness Society.

Noah came to Monroe County, Indiana in 1860. He left from Morgan County, Indiana about 1875. He changed the spelling of his surname from Bunting to Burton sometime between 1870 and 1880. He became a Methodist minister in 1884 and served many churches in southern Illinois.
